Carving His Way to Gold!

The Centre’s Senior Chef de Partie, Mustaffa Kamal bin Othman proudly represented Malaysia at the 11th Indonesian Salon Culinaire 2017 competition where his majestic sculpture of three flying birds won the Gold medal in the Individual Ice Carving category. Chef Mustaffa competed against 11 other contestants from Indonesia, Malaysia and Myanmar.
Congratulating Chef Mustaffa, the Centre’s Executive Chef, Hisham Bin Jaafar, shared, “He has been with the Centre since opening (2005) and his attention-grabbing artistic ice carvings set apart our creative culinary events.”
“We are constantly designing experiences that take our clients beyond taste and flavour, and satisfy all five senses. Finding innovative ways to make our banquets and functions experiential are enhanced by Chef Mustaffa’s creativity and his passion to contribute to the creation of a stunning dining experience for our guests,” he concluded.
