KL2017 at the Centre of Attention!


The Centre is honoured to be one of the chosen venues to host six sporting events during the 29th SEA (Southeast Asian) Games 2017 and the 9th ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Para Games 2017, also known as Kuala Lumpur 2017 (KL2017). 
 
Taking place between 19th and 31st August 2017, the Centre will be holding Billiards & Snooker, Judo, Karate, Pencak Silat, Taekwondo and Wushu. 
 
According to the Centre’s General Manager, Alan Pryor, “We are very excited to be selected to host six sporting codes during Kuala Lumpur 2017 and look forward to welcoming all the athletes and visitors to the venue. As a purpose-built facility, we are able to deliver to the customised needs of many different types of events and unconventional functions. We pride ourselves on our flexibility and adaptability and being chosen to host six sporting events during Kuala Lumpur 2017 is the perfect example of this.”

Pryor continued, “Overlooking the iconic PETRONAS Twin Towers and 50-acre Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) Park, visitors attending Kuala Lumpur 2017 at the Centre are spoilt for choice given the varied and exciting range of recreational, entertainment, food & beverage and accommodation options available in the KLCC precinct.”
 
“The precinct infrastructure also provides excellent accessibility and connectivity, with the majority of attractions and public transport within a comfortable 5 to 10-minute walk via covered air-conditioned walkways from the Centre,” Pryor concluded.
