On Course for First Public Training Course!

The Centre will conduct its first public ‘Food Handlers Training Course’ on 15 November 2016.
The all-inclusive half-day ‘Food Handlers Training Programme Course’ is ideal for F&B and hospitality personnel, and hospitality, hotel management, F&B or culinary courses students, looking to enhance their knowledge in food handling.

The course fee is RM60 nett and the training will be conducted by Mr Girbakran a/l Balachandran; a team member of the Centre’s Human Resource Training Department and the first qualified Food Handlers Trainer at the Centre, who has trained and certified more than 2,400 food handlers internally since his accreditation.

The training course, a mandatory requirement under the Food Hygiene Regulations 2009, and fully-certified and endorsed by the Ministry of Health (MOH) Malaysia’s Food Safety and Quality Division, is designed to demonstrate and promote awareness on the importance of food safety and to strengthen food safety practices as a whole.

Topics to be covered during the course includes foundation of hygiene, factors contributing to food-borne diseases, personal hygiene and do’s and don’ts at the workplace; all of which are essential to remember and practice when handling food.
