New Appointments at The Centre

In recent months, the Centre has welcomed several notable senior appointments as it further boosts capabilities to support its business growth.
The Centre appointed Dorai Raj Kolandapayan as its Director of Finance in June 2016. Dorai Raj works closely with the General Manager and the Centre’s Senior Management Team to oversee the planning, organising, coordinating, managing and controlling of the Finance and Administration Division functions and ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
Dorai Raj has over 30 years of experience, including 27 years with a leading international hotel brand. His portfolio included finance, operations, legal and insurance oversight.
Sudesh Sharma joined the Centre in August as its Deputy Director of Operations. The newly created position was developed to cater to the need for broader internal support and succession planning requirements, spurred by the Centre’s steady increase in attendance levels and record revenue achievements in 2014 and 2015.
Sudesh has over 25 years’ experience working in the hotel, banquet and convention industry in places including Singapore, Bali and Malaysia. He brings with him broad knowledge and capabilities on the operational side of the business, having managed a number of high-profile and large scale conferences and conventions in the region.
In his new role with the Centre, Sudesh works hand-in-hand with and assists the Director of Operations on primary functions which include planning, implementing, monitoring and improving the effective service delivery of the Operations Department.
Jenice Phung joined the team in September as the Centre’s Head of Conventions and Conferences Sales. She brings over 17 years of hospitality industry experience from her roles within leading international hotel brands and has vast knowledge and skills in catering sales, corporate events, as well as international conference and convention sales.

Jenice heads the sales team responsible for securing international and national association conferences and conventions in order to grow the Centre’s Business Events market share.
