Kuala Lumpur Tourism Bureau Now 'Live'!

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has launched the Kuala Lumpur Tourism Bureau (KLTB) to foster closer collaboration between regulatory agencies, industry players and associations and, provide the capabilities and capacity to manage and implement 47 initiatives in nine key segments under the Kuala Lumpur Tourism Master Plan 2015 – 2025.

Replacing DBKL’s Tourism Unit, KLTB comprises the city police, Tourism and Culture Ministry, Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) and representatives from tourism-linked associations and stakeholders.

More specifically for business tourism, three programmes have been identified to help drive the local industry forward. They are (1) developing a KL-specific MICE strategy, branding, incentives, organisation and capabilities, (2) developing unique diversified and world-class MICE venues and facilities and (3) developing distinct and attractive MICE packages and programmes…all of which bodes well for the sector’s further growth and development.
