Going the Extra Mile For The Industry!

The Centre has been busy in the first half of 2016 taking their role beyond the conventional norm of a venue provider to benefit the local business events industry.
This process has involved increasing cooperation and fostering greater ties with local and international players to enhance the growth and professional development of Malaysia’s business events industry. The latest collaborations include:
International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IAPCO):
Established in April 2016, the partnership will see the Centre working closely with IAPCO to create greater awareness of Malaysia’s multi-cultural diversity and extensive business events offerings amongst their 114 members across 40 countries.

In line with this, the Centre will be hosting the IAPCO Council Meeting in September 2017, which will provide the opportunity to showcase the venue’s strategic location - right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur city centre, its ‘purpose-built’ facility and world-class service delivery, and on a broader scale, Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia’s USPs (unique selling propositions) as a premier business events destination.

InvestKL:
Established in June 2016, the collaboration with InvestKL, a Government entity under the purview of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Ministry of Federal Territories and Performance Management and Delivery Unit (PEMANDU), will see the Centre working together on lead generation, destination promotion, bid proposals/pitch presentations in four primary sectors - business services, financial services, retail and tourism.

Overseen by the Prime Minister’s Office, InvestKL focuses on attracting large global multinationals such as Fortune 500 and Forbes 2000 companies to set up their regional business, innovation and talent hubs in Greater Kuala Lumpur and strategically grow their business in Asia. As such, this partnership will also focus on enhancing business relations with companies associated with InvestKL and working together to highlight Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia’s attractiveness among these companies and achieve business events industry growth.
