Legacy in Motion: Celebrating 20 Years of Purposeful Events with Atilia Haron at a Sunrise Yoga Experience at KLCC Esplanade
To mark our 20th anniversary and International Yoga Day 2025, the Centre hosted a meaningful sunrise yoga session at the KLCC Esplanade, beneath the iconic PETRONAS Twin Towers.
The session was part of our KLCC Sustainable September initiative, which champions health, sustainability and community engagement with lasting local and global impact.
The session was led by Malaysian singer and certified yoga instructor Atilia Haron, a respected wellness advocate who has been offering free community classes for over 12 years.
Her personal mantra, “Always be happy and kind,” perfectly reflected the energy of the morning and the Centre’s belief in building events around people, values and legacy.
Whether through wellness activities, CSR engagement or local partnerships, the Centre offers a platform for associations to create programmes that resonate far beyond the event itself. This sunrise yoga session, led by Atilia Haron exemplified how legacy can be lived, not just planned.
For international organisers and associations seeking more than just venue capacity, this activation demonstrated the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre’s ability to transform intention into action :
We offers immediate access to vibrant public spaces, luxury hospitality, retail, transport and cultural institutions. This yoga session utilised our surrounding destination infrastructure to deliver a legacy activation embedded within the community fabric, just steps away from the Centre’s core event spaces.
From climate action to mental health and education, our sustainability frameworks are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Malaysia’s long-term tourism and development plans. Our team works with organisers to co-create meaningful side programmes, legacy actions and storytelling opportunities that amplify the impact of international events.
Modern events must resonate with deeper meaning. Led by wellness advocate Atilia Haron, who has been offering free community yoga classes for over 12 years, this activation brought authenticity and heart to the occasion; embodying the kind of community connection and cultural relevance that global organisers increasingly seek.
With two decades of delivering high-level international events, our team is well-versed in supporting organisers to achieve more than just operational success. From legacy planning to stakeholder alignment, we offer expertise and infrastructure that help events inspire, engage and endure; just as this sunrise yoga session did.
As international associations and event professionals place greater emphasis on legacy, wellbeing and meaningful impact, the Centre continues to serve as a partner in realising those ambitions. The sunrise yoga session, led by wellness advocate Atilia Haron who has championed community wellbeing through free classes for over a decade was more than a celebration; it embodied the Centre’s commitment to creating experiences that resonate with purpose and place.
