A Space Designed for Daily Life

The upgraded Ruang Community PPR Perkasa is built for everyday use. It is not a ceremonial space, but one shaped around how resident gather, celebrate and spend time together.

A Space Designed for Daily Life
Under a simple covered structure, families can host small functions, children can take part in activities, and neighbours can sit down for shared meals. The setting is open, practical and designed to accommodate real community life.

For over 2,000 residents, the space now provides:
  • A functional venue for neighbourhood events and informal gatherings.
  • A safe, accessible environment for children’s programmes.
  • A community facility intended for long-term, continuous use.
Brought to Life by the Community

Brought to Life by the Community
The opening reflected how the space will be used moving forward. Organised by the residents’ committee, a Raya gathering brought families together, with children performing and filling the space with energy.

It was a simple occasion, but it showed clearly how the space belongs to the community. From the start, it has been used as intended — naturally and without formality.
A Space That Continues to Serve

A Space That Continues to Serve
This effort has delivered a well utilised space that meets the daily needs of the community. A contribution has turned into a space that residents can use every day.

It moves beyond a single event and becomes part of the community itself — a place that supports daily life, encourages interaction, and remains useful long after the initial effort. A simple idea, carried through properly can continue to make a difference where it matters most.
A Collaborative Effort Aligned with National Priorities

A Collaborative Effort Aligned with National Priorities
This initiative was delivered in collaboration with URBANICE Malaysia, as part of a wider KLCC Precinct effort. It aligns with the Ministry of Local Government and Housing’s objectives to build liveable, inclusive, and community-focused urban environments.

From a strategic standpoint, this reflects:
  • Public-private collaboration in urban development
  • Precinct-level sustainability, extending impact beyond a single organisation.
  • Community-first planning, where outcomes shaped around actual needs.

Such partnerships strengthen the role of business events and precinct stakeholders in contributing to broader city-making efforts.
Conclusion – A Venue That Works From the Outside In

At PPR Perkasa, a shared space now supports how the community gathers, interacts, and spends time together.

What began as a single initiative has been carried through into a practical, everyday setting.

Developed through collaboration and aligned with national priorities, it reflects a clear and focused approach.

A well-defined outcome, built to serve beyond the initial effort.
