Flagship Ramadan Event Platform for Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners
‘Ketupat Digital – TroBek Raya’ Exhibition from 26 April to 9 May 2021 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre

KUALA LUMPUR, 1 April 2021 - The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre) is proud to announce it will be the Official Venue Partner for the inaugural ‘Ketupat Digital – TroBek Raya’ Exhibition, an electrifying and interactive digital-themed Ramadan bazaar. Taking place daily in a safe and controlled setting at the Centre from 26 April to 9 May 2021, the Exhibition will provide a vital platform for entrepreneurs and small business owners to promote and increase sales during Ramadan and Syawal.

Organised by Usaha Jana Sdn Bhd, ‘Ketupat Digital – TroBek Raya’ will be free admission for visitors who can enjoy an extensive selection of product categories, including ‘Gobok Raya’ – clothing and accessories for men, women and children; ‘Kuih Lebaran’ – festive cookies, snacks and cooking items; ‘Dandan Raya’ – health and beauty products; ‘Lip Lap Raya’ - home décor and kitchenware; and various surprises from ‘Celebrity Vendors’.

During the exhibition, there will also be lots of exciting activities and contests taking place for visitors to participate and win prizes, including Nasyid performances by UNIC; ‘Berbuka Glamor’ contest to win the chance to break fast with a famous celebrity/influencer; ‘Laram Raya’ photobooth contest; ‘Busker Raya’ with talented street musicians; ‘Kahoot Raya’ quiz; ‘Cari Booth Kami’ treasure hunt; ‘Alunan Bacaan Al-Quran’ reading session; ‘Takzirah Ramadan’ Q&A session; ‘Ketupat Kita’ weaving contest; ‘Kreative OOTD’ social media contest; and many more.

The Centre’s General Manager, Alan Pryor, shared, “We are excited to be the Official Venue Partner for the inaugural ‘Ketupat Digital – TroBek Raya’ Exhibition, which will contribute to stimulating Malaysia’s events industry that has been dampened by Covid-19. We look forward to working with the Organisers to provide the best bazaar experience for visitors to personally attend, and enjoy a diverse selection of Ramadan fare. Guests will also appreciate the reassurance that comes from the proper implementation of our comprehensive event Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), which are designed with our visitor’s convenience, safety and comfort in mind. It is of utmost importance that compliance to SOPs are upheld and we are all responsible to protect each other’s safety by ensuring physical distance, frequent sanitisation measures and correctly wearing masks at all times as required.”

Taking place in the Centre’s Exhibition Halls 6, 7 and 8, the venue will also be providing a designated prayer room and on-site ablution facility for visitors and exhibitors to conveniently perform their religious duties.

According to the Organiser, Usaha Jana Sdn Bhd’s Chief Executive Officer, Mohd. Norashedy Ab. Rashid, “We are glad to be working with the Centre’s team again and know their great location and emphasis on safety and quality standards will provide peace of mind and help attract exhibitors and visitors to ‘Ketupat Digital – TroBek Raya’.”

“We wanted to create a ‘Digital Delight’ for this Exhibition, meaning that wherever possible engagement and transactions will be digital. For example, exhibitor details, event catalogues as well as visitor payment methods will all be digital transactions. Visitors will even be able to order their preferred items via Whatsapp and make payment online or through their e-wallet and the products can be delivered directly to their home. This is to encourage touchless and contactless transactions, thus creating a safer environment for our exhibitors and visitors. As we did not get to experience the true festive feel of Raya in 2020 due to Covid-19, we look forward to ‘TroBek’ (throwback) this year and creating lots of new memories in 2021 with our first edition and hopefully many more in the years to come,” Norashedy continued.

Exhibitor booths start from RM4,500 for a three-by-three metre empty space for the duration of the event or RM5,499 if purchased during the ‘Early Bird Promotion’ from now until 4 April and RM6,999 if purchased between 26 April and 9 May.
